Note: Leather gloves fit snugly at first but will always stretch with use.
A five-finger glove offers the best dexterity, a mitten is the warmest, and a three-finger (lobster) glove sits somewhere in between.
Leather is durable, molds perfectly to your hand, and almost gets better with age. Leather requires balm to maintain longevity. Synthetic materials dry faster and handle moisture better. Many high-quality gloves use leather in the palm and synthetic material on the back for an optimal experience.
Best in rain, wet snow, and slush. Gloves made from synthetic materials perform the best in these conditions.
A long cuff minimizes snow intrusion, while a shorter cuff can feel more flexible and easier to fit under your sleeve.
A thinner, snug fit with a windproof back and good breathability for when you sweat, plus a reinforced palm for grip and durability.
Waterproof with strong durability, a reinforced palm in leather or synthetic material, and a longer cuff, preferably with a drawstring and solid grip.
Warm with strong durability, leather or synthetic in the palm. Comfortable on the hand and not too tight. Long or short cuff is a matter of preference.
